What is Homecare Nursing Service?

 

Home care nursing (HCN) services are homecare services ordered by a physician 

designed to be provided by a registered nurse or Licensed practical nurse for members with critical medical needs or hospital-level care needs whose illness, injury, physical or mental condition requires more individual and continuous. This service is also known as a private duty nurse.

Homecare Nursing can be provided in a single or twice-daily skilled nurse visit and that requires greater skill than a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) can provide.
